Sep 5 2010 - Tim Shaw (Titans) LB Tim Shaw signed with Tennessee after not making Chicago's 53-man roster. He led the Bears with 30 special-teams tackles in 2009, in his second full season in the league, and had a team-best 8 special-teams tackles in the season finale.

Sep 5 2010 - Kevin Ellison (Free Agent) SS Kevin Ellison was released by the Seahawks. A sixth-round pick of San Diego last year, Ellison was claimed off waivers earlier this offseason and officially signed in July.

Sep 5 2010 - Tyrone McKenzie (Free Agent) ILB Tyrone McKenzie was released by New England. McKenzie, a former third-round pick, missed his entire rookie season thanks to a torn ACL suffered in rookie mini-camp a year ago.

Sep 5 2010 - Cory Procter (Free Agent) OG Corey Procter, who lost the starting job to Richie Incognito on the right side, had his contract terminated by Miami.

Sep 5 2010 - Bear Pascoe (Giants) TE Bear Pascoe, a blocking specialist, was signed to the Giants' practice squad after not making the final 53-man roster.

Sep 5 2010 - Rhys Lloyd (Free Agent) PK Rhys Lloyd, brought in to take over kickoff duties from Ryan Longwell, failed to make the final roster as he was cut Saturday.

Sep 5 2010 - Frank Summers (Steelers) RB Frank Summers, slated to play the reduced role of fullback in offensive coordinator Bruce Arians' offense, was released by Pittsburgh.

Sep 5 2010 - Pat White (Free Agent) QB Pat White was waived by Miami. He was fourth on the QB depth chart behind Chad Henne, Chad Pennington and Tyler Thigpen.

Sep 5 2010 - David Martin (Bills) TE David Martin was released by the Dolphins, who had been expected to use him as the backup long snapper in addition to reserve tight end duties. Martin, who missed last season with a knee injury, is "one of the better backup long snappers in the league," coach Tony Sparano said. John Denney is the primary long snapper and has been since 2005.

Sep 5 2010 - Spencer Havner (Lions) TE Spencer Havner, a converted linebacker who became a cult hero as "Mr. Touchdown" in the red zone with four touchdowns in 2009, was released by Green Bay. He worked his way back from a broken shoulder suffered in a May motorcycle accident, but failed to make the team out of training camp.

Sep 4 2010 - Antwan Barnes (Eagles) DE/LB Antwan Barnes was acquried by the Eagles from Baltimore for an undisclosed draft pick in 2011. The 25-year-old Barnes was a fourth round draft choice of the Ravens in 2007 and posted 20 tackles, five sacks, one interception and one forced fumble during his three-year career in Baltimore. The 6-1, 251-pound Barnes has seen action in 37 regular season games and two postseason contests for the Ravens and has 24 career special teams tackles.

Sep 4 2010 - Kendrick Clancy (Free Agent) DT Kendrick Clancy, who re-signed with the Saints last week, was released. Clancy, who was lost for the 2009 season after an injury to his right knee in the opener with the Saints, also considered signing with the Texans and Chiefs.

Sep 4 2010 - Chip Vaughn (Eagles) S Chip Vaughn was released by the Saints. A fourth-round pick in 2009, he spent his rookie season on injured reserve following knee surgery.

Sep 4 2010 - Al Woods (Free Agent) DL Al Woods, a fourth-round pick, was released by the Saints. Even though he didn't become a starter until his senior season, Woods had a solid college career at LSU while playing behind current NFL players Glenn Dorsey and Rickey Jean-Francois. Woods started all 13 games in 2009 and recorded 33 tackles with a sack, a blocked field goal and two passes defensed. For his career, Woods started 16 of 41 games he played in and had 73 tackles, 3½ sacks, three fumble recoveries and two passes defensed. He led LSU with three fumble recoveries when the Tigers won the national championship in 2007.

Sep 4 2010 - Bobby Engram (Free Agent) WR Bobby Engram, who signed a one-year deal in July, had his contract terminated by Cleveland.

Sep 4 2010 - Ray Willis (Seahawks) OT Ray Willis, who had arthroscopic knee surgery in August, was placed on injured reserve.

Sep 4 2010 - Quintin Demps (Free Agent) S Quintin Demps was released by the Eagles, who opted to keep rookie Kurt Coleman.

Sep 4 2010 - Victor Harris (Free Agent) S Macho Harris was released by the Eagles. Harris was a cornerback at Virginia Tech but was moved to safety as a rookie. He was shifted back to cornerback in the offseason. After spending much of camp and the preseason on the sideline with injuries, he was moved back to safety last week. But he couldn't beat out rookie Kurt Coleman to make the team.

Sep 4 2010 - Max Jean-Gilles (Eagles) OG Max Jean-Gilles was released by the Eagles. He had been splitting reps on the right side with Stacy Andrews, who was traded to Seattle, leaving Nick Cole as the starter.

Sep 4 2010 - Cornelius Ingram (Free Agent) TE Cornelius Ingram was released by the Eagles. Ingram, who missed his rookie season following knee surgery, had been sidelined by swelling this preseason.
