Oct 4 2015 - WR Ted Ginn had only three passes thrown his way the whole game, but he caught two of them for touchdowns. On a quiet day for Panthers wide receivers, he at least found the end zone. He finished with 18 receiving yards.
Mar 9 2015 - WR Ted Ginn signed a two-year contract Monday (March 9) to return to the Panthers.
Ginn, 29, caught 14 passes for 190 yards last season with Arizona after posting 36 catches for 556 receiving yards and five touchdowns with Carolina in 2013. He averaged 23.8 yards on kickoff returns and 12.2 yards on punt returns with the Panthers.
"To be able to come back here is amazing," Ginn said. "It's a blessing to have a family like this that is willing to give me another opportunity to be on their ball club."
Ginn also had drawn interest from Tennessee and his home-state Cleveland Browns since Arizona cut him last month.
"We are very pleased to have Ted back," general manager Dave Gettleman said. "He gives us big-play ability as a punt returner and a wide receiver. He still has his speed. He can still fly."
Ginn will be entering his ninth NFL season. He entered the league as a first-round pick by the Miami Dolphins in 2007, and has 211 career receptions for 2,794 yards and 11 touchdowns. He has returned 281 kickoffs for 6,443 yards for a 22.9-yard average with three touchdowns, and has returned 182 punt returns for 2,018 yards for an 11.1-yard average with four touchdowns.
Feb 23 2015 - WR/KR Ted Ginn Jr. had his contract terminated by the Cardinals Monday (Feb. 23).
Ginn played just one year of the three-year, $9.75 million deal he signed a year ago. He made $3.25 million in 2014, working mainly as a return specialist. He returned 22 kickoffs for 417 yards and 26 punts for 277 yards and a touchdown.
He had just 14 receptions for 190 yards.
If Ginn had been on the roster on March 12, $2 million of his $3.25 million salary for 2015 would have become guaranteed. The Cardinals saved $2.5 million in the salary cap by releasing him.
Sep 15 2014 - WR/PR Ted Ginn, Jr., scored a touchdown on a return for the first time since 2011. Ginn returned a punt 71 yards to give the Cardinals a lead in the fourth quarter in a 25-14 win against the Giants. Ginn has been shaky as a kick returner this year, choosing to return some kicks that he should have downed in the end zone.
Aug 11 2014 - WR Ted Ginn Jr., suffered a knee bruise in practice before the first game and might miss the second preseason game. He should be able to return next week.
