New 2010 OVERALLS Coming Soon: T Player Ratings Last Updated:
PLEASE NOTE: Updates coming soon.
PLAYER NOTES:
Sep 1 2010 - WR Devin Aromashodu provides the big target (6-foot-2, 201 pounds) that is missing with Devin Hester and Johnny Knox, and he is also a down-the-field threat. Aromashodu could be on the field as much as anyone given the amount of three-WR sets the Bears will use.
Aug 15 2010 - WR Devin Aromashodu has been taking advantage of the Bears' defensive backs for two weeks of training camp. He was able to do the same to the Chargers in the preseason opener with four catches for 78 yards, including a seven-yard TD.
"Devin's a good football player," coach Lovie Smith said. "He's done some good things for us, so we expect him to make those types of plays. He'll have a lot of opportunities this year."
Jul 22 2010 - WR Devin Aromashodu was the team's leading receiver in the final four games of 2009 by a wide margin, with 22 catches, 282 yards and four touchdowns.
May 27 2010 - WR Devin Aromashodu didn't line up with the starters in minicamp, but offensive coordiantor Mike Martz has been impressed and wants to provide him with a bigger role in the offense.
"Aromashodu has stepped up quite a bit, significantly," Martz said. "We've moved him into a role now where we're trying to see what he can do getting him the ball a little bit more. Our two starters are terrific players, so we're getting each guy an opportunity to move up and be counted on, to make this team. There's a lot of good things going on out there."
Jan 14 2010 - WR Devin Aromashodu made a solid case for earning himself a starting spot while Devin Hester was out. He caught 22 passes for 282 yards and four touchdowns in the final four games. At 6-foot-2, he's the tallest of the Bears' wideouts but still can stretch the field vertically, and Cutler loves the big target that he provides.
Sep 10 2009 - WR Devin Aromashodu, who saw time in the preseason as the No. 3, was limited at Thursday's practice with a quad injury and will probably be questionable for Sunday.
