Apr 2 2010 - LB Chris Gocong and CB Sheldon Brown were traded to the Browns for LB Alex Hall and fourth- and fifth-round picks in the 2010 draft. "Sheldon Brown has been a very good football player for the Eagles over the last eight years," said coach Andy Reid in a statement. "He's a good person, a legitimate tough guy and he'll do a good job helping the Browns. Chris did a good job converting from defensive end to linebacker and helped us win a lot of football games. We wish both of them all of the best."
Apr 1 2010 - LB Chris Gocong has been the subject of trade rumors that link him to the Cleveland Browns.
Mar 30 2010 - OLB Chris Gocong has signed a one-year deal with the Eagles. Terms were not disclosed. Gocong, a third round draft pick of the Eagles in 2006, has recorded 203 tackles, four sacks and one forced fumble in 47 regular season games (35 starts). He also has seen action in four playoff contests, registering 19 tackles and one sack.
Feb 15 2010 - SLB Chris Gocong fell out of favor with defensive coordinator Sean McDermott in the middle of the season and was benched. His return is uncertain.
Jan 7 2010 - LB Chris Gocong, who was benched three games ago, may replace Moise Fokou at strong-side linebacker Saturday. At the very least, they both will get snaps. Gocong hasn't played a down on defense since his benching.
Nov 13 2009 - LB Chris Gocong, who missed last week's game with quad and hamstring injuries, practiced for the third straight day Friday and is expected to play Sunday. He may move from SLB to MLB with WLB Akeem Jordan out.

Nov 4 2009 - SLB Chris Gocong didn't practice Wednesday. He suffered quad and hamstring injuries to the same leg in Sunday's win over the Giants. Gocong is a key to the Eagles' run defense.
