Mar 4 2015 - RB C.J. Spiller never really fulfilled his promise as the No. 9 pick of the 2010 draft. Spiller rushed for 3,321 yards (5.0 per carry) and 12 touchdowns and caught 158 passes for 1,195 yards and six TDs. He struggled mightily running between the tackles, and his penchant to bounce everything outside hurt him. Also, he was somewhat of a disappointment in the passing game, and his inability to pass block cost him vast playing time. However, he is tremendously talented and could flourish in the right system.
Dec 29 2014 - RB C.J. Spiller touched the ball only six times and managed 19 yards. He finished with 300 yards rushing and 125 yards receiving.
Dec 22 2014 - RB C.J. Spiller returned after a seven-week layoff and had a miserable game. He carried four times for minus-4 yards, and caught four passes for 14 yards.

Spiller has been out since suffering a broken collarbone on Oct. 19, and he was placed on the injured reserve/designated to return list. He has been practicing the last two weeks, and is now medically cleared, though Marrone wasn't positive whether he would be active on game day in Oakland. The practice week will determine that.
Nov 3 2014 - RB C.J. Spiller isn't willing to weigh his chances of being able to play in the final two regular-season games against Oakland and New England. He was placed on the injured reserve/designated to return list after breaking his collarbone two weeks ago against the Minnesota Vikings. He is eligible to play in Week 16, but it does seem like a long shot.
"My biggest thing is just getting back healthy and trying to get back to playing," he said. "I'm not going to put a percentage on it, I'm just taking it one day at a time. If the doctors clear me, I want to play."
Spiller said he spent the bye week in Florida, but he kept up with his cardio conditioning.
"I've been doing stuff," he said. "I didn't just sit on the potato couch. On the bye week I was working out doing cardio stuff. My friends and family are pushing me, so that's always encouraging. Every day I'm getting a text from somebody making sure I'm doing what I need to do."
Oct 22 2014 - RB C.J. Spiller has been placed on the injured reserve/designated to return list after undergoing surgery to repair his broken collarbone. The earliest he could return is Week 16, but it seems like a longshot that it could happen.
